What services does ApplePrints offer?

ApplePrints is an online digital photography service that allows you to upload and store your digital images and organize them into personalized online albums. Once your pictures are uploaded and organized, they can be edited, enhanced, and shared with the people you care about. Opening an account (FREE) Please see How do I open an account with ApplePrints? No credit card information is needed. You don’t need to upload any images right away. No commitment on your side. Your account will stay open as long as you want. However, if we notice no activities on your account for more than 6 months, we will contact you to confirm whether you would like to continue to be a member of our service. If you would like us to extend your membership, you can do any one of three things:
1. Respond to our E-mail by clicking on Please extend my Account.
2. Login to your ApplePrints account.
3. Send us an E-mail asking to extend your account for another 6 months.

Why would I use ApplePrints printing service if I can print my pictures at home?

Home printing is very expensive. You need to buy a photo-printer, photo paper and lots of color cartridges ($25-$45 each). An average color cartridge is claimed to be good for about 30-40 4 x 6 prints; however, the printing quality degrades from very colorful and bright prints to faded color prints and, finally, to colorless prints.
Home prints will not last long. All of the existing photo-printers are inkjets that print only on the surface of the paper. In approximately one year, your home printed pictures will start to fade.
You will not be able to share your images through the use of ApplePrints' sharing service.
Unlike home printing, ApplePrints utilizes professional photo printing standards such as automated enhancing for color and sharpness. ApplePrints uses only Premium Kodak photo paper.
And, most importantly, you will not have all the fun that ApplePrints’ services have to offer you absolutely free.

Will my personal information be safe with ApplePrints?

Since we take your privacy very seriously, ApplePrints is committed to protect and safeguard any information it collects from you. At ApplePrints, our goal is to make every effort to ensure that your privacy is protected. ApplePrints has put in place certain security procedures to prevent any unauthorized access to your personal information and your privacy. We safeguard your information by using industry standard secure server software (SSL) for all transactions. SSL uses encryption technology to make sure that your personal information is protected while traveling between our server and your web browser.

Will my personal information be used by any third party?

All the images uploaded and/or submitted for processing to our website are the sole property of our customers. ApplePrints makes no claim of ownership to any images uploaded to and stored on our server. As a member of our service, you hereby grant ApplePrints a continuous and nonexclusive right to handle and manage images submitted by you, solely for the purpose of providing you with our services. If at any point while using our services you believe your copyright has been violated through our web site, please contact ApplePrints immediately and notify us of any copyright infringement.

What OS systems and software are compatible with ApplePrints?

Appleprints’ uploading software can be used with Microsoft Windows 95 or higher, Mac OS 8.5.1. and higher, and Linux. ApplePrints services can be used with Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, and AOL.
